Getting it all Done - How You Can Build Your Wellness Business by Focusing on the Right Things10/28/2015 When you are the sole driver of your business, it can be overwhelming or at least stress producing to try to manage how you are going to get it all done. Perhaps you are juggling everything from marketing, web page management, cash flow management, employee training, customer service, customer attainment and retention etc. You may find that certain things are being left in the dust because you just can't seem to find the time to fit it all in. You may find yourself in a routine of doing the to dos which you are comfortable with while letting everything else (most likely things out of your comfort zone) go. Here are a few thought starters that will hopefully help you make sure your focus is on the daily to dos that will move you positively forward...upward, rather than just keep you treading water. Keep the main thing the main thing: What is it that needs your attention right now? Increasing sales? Taking on a new product line, retaining patients or customers? Take time to really analyze what goals need the majority of your attention and take action towards their attainment daily. If you need to make sales, yet you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with marketing, then find help to handle that aspect of your business in order to free you up to close as many sales as possible, based upon the new leads that will be coming in. If you are looking to take on a new product line (or any new project) then schedule (uninterrupted...close all tabs on your computer...email too...put your phone on do not disturb mode) time to do your due diligence, launch strategy, market testing etc. Don't let minutia take you down. Set an alarm on your phone for 30 min to an hour increments and choose to devote that block of time to knocking things out, rather than trying to fit it in when you can throughout the day. Focus then schedule a reward: After you have completed your allotted time, get up and go for a walk, go get a coffee...etc. This can go a long way towards keeping you focused on the task at hand. Put systems in place: Retaining patients or customers can be a stellar way to continually increase sales through referrals and word of mouth advertising. Eventually you will want this portion of your business to be on auto pilot. Getting a system in place could be exactly what you need to free up time while keeping clients happy and making sure they continually sing your praises. The bottom line is that a clear vision, followed by a steady focus along with consistency get's the job done. As long as you are focusing and following through on the right things, then everything else will fall into place. Need Help with Your Health & Wellness Social Media & Marketing? That's What We Do!
