If you are looking to increase your visibility on LinkedIn and really make the platform work for you, here are the three stats you should check daily in order to build great relationships and improve the information you are sharing with your connections and audience.
On your profile page, directly below your Summary Section, you will see three numbers …
Who’s viewed your profile
How many views your current posts are receiving
and a relatively new feature which covers...
How often you are coming up in searches that week (number of times your profile appeared in search results, where your searchers work and what your searchers do).
It’s great to check out ‘who’s viewed your profile’ and reach out to them if they look like someone you’d want to connect with. You know that you are already on their radar, so it’s good time to reach out with something like.
You can keep an eye on which posts are gaining the most traction with your audience with the ‘how many views your posts are receiving number’. This helps you fine tune the information you are offering, thereby increasing your visibility over time.
‘Weekly search’ is too new to access overall results, but it looks very promising. Maybe you find that there are a number of people from one company checking you out, would that be good information to have? You bet! More to come on this one.
If you are going to be using LinkedIn to grow your business and build relationships (with potential clients, partners, vendors, contractors, future employees etc.) you may want to look into a Sales Navigator subscription. As of right now, you can pay for a year up front for a discount or go month to month for $79 each month.
With Sales Navigator you can track companies and leads you are following, what they are posting, whether they were featured in the news and new positions that your leads may have taken.
You can also track your performance and impact you are making week by week with the social selling index.
Don’t subscribe to Sales Navigator unless you are committed to taking the time to learn the platform and how to best use it for your particular objectives.
Once you get familiar with the process and choose to carve a little time out each day to maximize the powerful tools the LinkedIn platform puts in your hands, you will start to differentiate yourself from the crowd and open opportunities that you would never have known about had you not taken the plunge.
