Becoming What Inspires You

When you are on a journey of self development and improvement, it's important to have all the support you could possibly have, in your face and at your disposal.


Because guess what?


Life will get in the way. You will get tired, kids will get sick, you may feel pulled in many different directions but the difference between people who just dream verses those who DO is the support systems and habits they have in place to help ensure success.


Here are a couple of suggestions that will help you discover what works best for you...

Start and end your day with gratitude - IMHO this is key to every happiness in life. Make time, every day to review what you have to be thankful for. Can you take a breath on your own, without pain? Give thanks. Do you have running water? Hot AND cold? Be grateful.

There are so many miraculous things in our every day existence which we take for granted. Please don't. Being grateful puts you in a state of grace and from there amazing things can happen :)

Surround yourself with inspirational stories and pictures - Who inspires you and why? What is resonating with you during this period of your life? Capture it and create access to it. Below, is a photo of what is resonating with me right now. I have these up on my bedroom wall and it inspires me daily as a result.

Do you sense a trend? Strong, beautiful women perhaps? This may change over the next few weeks or months and that's fine, just place reminders of what appeals to you in places that you can't help but see them and make sure it's a collection that makes you smile.

Follow someone's blue print then adjust to make it work for you - There are many different ways of eating and moving your body which will help you achieve your desired results. Find a program that works for your body now and follow it. In previous years I have been a Vegetarian a Vegan and even did a 40 day juice fast once. Now THAT was crazy!

Currently my diet is pretty simple...lots of high quality protein and fats with lots of great veggies and fruits. And as for treats...heck yes, I have treats! Living a high quality lifestyle involves indulging from time to time, it is NOT about self depreciation. 

Love your body, every inch of it, right now. There is nothing more sexy than confidence and when you exude confidence, you automatically want to do more things to care for, heal, nourish and develop that beautiful, magical body of yours.

Great post! I like how you surround yourself (in person or images) with positive people that you like to emulate. Good, clean nutrition is the key to being happy with your body IMO. Gratitude is great for the soul, and keeps you humble.
